Formatted + Reinstalled new firmware...

My computer was having issues reading my a3, saying it need to be formatted. This happened shortly after a coworker of mine knocked it on the floor at work.

I tried looking into several fixes...it looked like formatting wasnt that uncommon for people with A3s as long as you reinstalled the firmware. Which as I found out, was 2 versions behind anyway before hand...

Now I've formatted and reinstalled the firmware. It went through the firmware update screen when I turned it back on, but when it finished it turned back off and now when I turn it on, it just turns back off. :/

Anyone know what I did wrong? And please please someone tell me they know a way to fix this. :/

I've had to buy a new mp3 player once a year for the last 3 years because they just randomly die. I thought buying a higher grade unit like this would put a halt to that...But I'm afraid I'll have to AGAIN now.
